Artist. Designer. Storyteller.

Design is creative problem solving.

Art is a tool I use to solve those problems and

Story is the north star by which I create meaning in my work.

I studied Art & Design at the University of Michigan where I honed my visual communications skills and inadvertently discovered a love of narrative design through theater and puppetry. Yet, it was my childhood fascination with staging scenery for doll dramas that inspired a move back to my home state of Texas to earn an MFA in Scenic Design from the University of Texas at Austin. There, building stage-sized worlds that not only immersed the actor in their story, but also transported the audience became the focus of my creative work.

I have had the pleasure of designing immersive sets for Universal Studios Orlando Halloween Horror Nights, graphic props for tv and commercials, branded theming and experiences for Camp Fimfo camping resorts, and exhibit concepts for museums.

All that said, defining “what I do” in neat categories has become darn near impossible. From set design and narrative treatments, to graphic design and illustration, to interactive experiences and spatial planning, I employ my art, design, and storytelling skills across a range of projects in a range of industries which all seek the same end: to tell a good story to an audience.
